Contemplation

Aristotle said that happiness was contemplation. He said that it consisted of thinking about what one had learned. Thinking about the ultimate truth was the the ultimate form of happiness. I must not know the ultimate truth because my thoughts don't alway make me happy. Knowing the composition of an atom doesn't really quite satisfy me. Sometimes it just confuses me, which makes me unhappy. Oh well.

Ah, but that's because Aristotle says that you must be contemplating the highest things to make you happy. Atoms are pretty far down in that ranking. Think about God, that should make you happy. :)
